How to dress like Kendal Jenner
Next in my lovely series about how to dress as a celebrity give you another very influential woman in the world of styling, Kendall Jenner. While she, like Bella Hadid, is one of the highest-paid models, she is not only known for her style and modeling. Kendall Jenner is practically American royalty, as the world has seen her grow up in one of the more powerful and influential families. The Kardashians, While they can be controversial with Kendall’s career and nepotism, you can never deny her sense of style.
I believe that there are some styling rules based on shape, colors, and patterns. Most of these can not be written down on one checklist to ensure your outfit is all tip-top. However, many celebrity stylists still follow their styling techniques for their clients. Even without a stylist many people still use their techniques and style references. Kendal has a certain classic style even within her streetwear. She goes for clean and classy in my opinion, especially recently. I will show you a few examples of why I think that with some examples of how she can sometimes stray out of this but stay in her comfort zone of style.
Streetwear
Jenner has a very classic streetwear style, it can also be classified as the “model-off-duty” style. She usually wears staples like white tees, jeans, and sneakers. I have covered these types of staples in other articles but now I would like to take specific examples from outfits she has worn and give you an attainable, affordable, way to achieve her style. I will show you three streetwear examples and just what you need
In this picture, she is wearing a dark dress and Adidas sneakers that match the color of her dress. It is a simple outfit and you can find this dress or similar almost everywhere along with the shoes. Monochromatic looks are always stylish and very attainable. Match your colors and shades together to create a cohesive, stylish look. This is probably one of the easier looks to accomplish and is very popular in styling.
Kendall likes to frequent a very simple look of light wash jeans, t shier, and loafers or sneakers. This is one of the most attainable looks because of its simplicity of it. Not much to use and then you are also able to use simple accessories to up the look such as jewelry, a nice bag, and a hair accessory like a baseball cap.
She can also be seen in more “extra” streetwear looks but for the most part, these are still simple. A pattern in her style in the white shirt and jeans the only large difference is that in this picture for example she ups the accessories. A statement jacket and boots can make the look so much more amazing. This is a strategy I think is great to use in your styling needs.
Regarding the style,
While I don’t find it necessary to talk about her couture looks I will say that she has more elevated looks in terms of streetwear and style. For example, in recent pictures, she wears more ready-to-wear body con looks. I have no clue how to explain it better than that, she wears very simple things in general but her ready-to-wear can be seen as more elevated though still simple. It continues to tie into that simple street style and her classic style as well. Investing in those key pieces is the best way to dress like her or similar to her because when you break what she wears down, it truly isn’t that complicated.
