Makeup products that are worth your money in 2023

I have spent the last few years of my life wearing and testing makeup, but recently due to Tik Tok influence I have tried way more than ever. With all the influence of different products, dupes, and hacks on the internet its hard to know what products are really worth the time and money to try out. I made a list of all of the products so far that I know are worth your money in 2023.

Primers

1) Elf hydrogrip primer.

We are starting off with a product that was once a “dupe” for a product however I think this is better! Not only is this product gripping, hydrating, and gives great glow, it is also only $8 and cruelty free. This is a great buy no matter what level of makeup you are on.

2) One size Secure the Blur Makeup Magnet Primer

If you like a matte, long lasting look this is the primer for you. It’s still gripping, but gives more or a soft matte look, and doesn’t dry out out too much

Wanna be glowed ?

1) Saie Glowy Super Gel Dewy Illuminating Fluid

This product gives me the most natural glow under my makeup that reflects so nicely through out my look. This is a great product if you want a glow from within.

2) Drunk elephant bronze drops

Viral D-Bronzi drops @Drunkelephant

You already know about this product if you are on the beauty side of the internet. This is a product that I sadly have not been able to try myself however due to all the positive reviews I am still adding it to the list. Most people mix this with moisturizer before their makeup, so though it is technically a skin care product, staying glowy is an essential.

Need a dupe? They have been sold out ever since it has gone viral and I heard that ELF is actually creating a very similar product which I am sure will be just as amazing or better due to their reputation.

3) Rare beauty liquid highlighter

This may be something a bit more personal to me, but I don’t usually use this product as intended. I usually put the highlighter on my face under my makeup because this is another way to get that vibrant hue to your face. Its like underpainting (If you don’t know what this is, it’s putting contour under your foundation to look more snatched). I have also been known to put a bit of this on my cheek bones on days I’m not wearing anything. Please note: The storefront linked has all of these products + more that I love

My favorite foundation of all time

1) Kosas foundation

I have a deep obsession with the Kosas foundation, I am on my second bottle and this is my absolute favorite! I don’t think people talk about this product enough because all the spotlight is on the concealer, however this foundation is hydrating, has a great finish and blends like no other. This is my top foundation no questions asked. However, my second favorite was very close on my list.

2) Haus labs foundation

She’s revolutionary, the Haus labs foundation has been known for many things. Great formulation, coverage, and the technology behind this foundation has been a great asset in this product. The only reason this isn’t my top foundation product is because I have not been able to do many looks and tests of this product. I still think this foundation is very worth it in 2023.

Concealing the last year…

1) Milk makeup future fluid

Light weight, buildable, and my everyday for the last few months. I get minimal to no creasing with this product, possibly due to its formulation or my makeup routine. Either way, this is a great concealer, that will be staying with me all of 2023.

2) Hourglass concealer

This concealer I tried in the beginning of 2022 and we are in 2023 and I still stand by it! I do suggest a bit of under eye primer for this product because it could possibly crease but as long as it is applied correctly is has an amazing creamy, dewy finish. It is perfect for a medium coverage look and you can also mix it with other products if you are looking for a different amount of coverage or tone.

3) Kosas concealer

All I have to say is the hype is necessary for this product, and I will leave it at that.

Bronzed to the gods

1) Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Contour Wand

This was a pretty viral product in 2022, and for good reason, its a good product. The application is a bit controversial, some people love the tube others not so much. I would suggest using some of this in small parts first around the areas you would normally contour, use a brush to blend and then a beauty blender if you want an even better finish.

2) Fenty contour stick

Since the moment it has been out I have been using this contour stick. It is my everyday product and I have bought an alarming amount of these throughout the years (I use to be a victim to over contouring). This cream stick is my all time favorite and it is also very good for under painting as well.

3) Makeup by Mario soft sculpt

This is a powder is soft, gives a glow, and bronzes without any harshness.

Blushed and beautiful

1) RARE BEAUTY BLUSHES

literally any of their blushes. I have no preference because each one is amazing! To the point where I can’t even choose my favorite shade of blush.

2) Rose Inc. CREAM BLUSH REFILLABLE CHEEK & LIP COLOR

Such a beautiful cream blush and I love that they have refills for it. I hadn’t touched any other cream/liquid blush after the rare beauty one but I was in love with this one after getting it a few weeks ago.

3) Kylie cosmetics- Winter kiss powder blush

They may be sold out of this shade but trust me its for a good reason. It is the perfect pink, light, buildable, and so cute! I use it all the time for the perfect pinky cheeks!
