Kim Kardashians Minimalistic home
Homes should be your happy place, where you feel comfortable and zen. Kim Kardashian’s house is a perfect example of this, a zen minimal space. To clear the mind of worry and chaos. Though some don’t exactly resonate with the houses minimal decor, I can say there are some parts of this house that I find desirable.
Stone sanctuary
The stone and marble in her house feel sophisticated and modern. I think that the way she uses stone in this house makes it blend while also being a statement piece. You can also see a lot of round structure in the home, I see a lot of people choose more straight cut stone, so the option of more curved stone makes it have a softer approach.
Back to the curves
You can see that from the arch way, to the tables, and the staircase. All of which continue to stick to the neutral color scheme. As I said before, to me this house feels softer in that way. It also feels very cohesive in this way. Her style of decor is meant to stay away from all of the chaos, which I can understand.
While I personally like more of a colorful approach to things, I can understand how this minimal decor approach could be wanted. I made an amazon list of decor if any of you are interested in shopping this type of aesthetic or nay type of home decor.
Holiday space
The Karjenner’s are known for loving the holidays and this shows in their houses too. This year Kim had so many amazing decor choices in which I will put in the gallery below for you to see. However what I really love is that she sticks to her colors and vibe. For halloween she choose white webs and stone hands coming out from the ground. She also got the palm trees in front of her house covered in fake bones and skulls.
After Halloween she quickly decorated for Christmas, she continued to have a minimal Christmas. But not so minimal, every year she has a pianist play Christmas music in the morning for her children. Creating a sense of Christmas joy and ambiance around her house.
Where is the color ?
Some would say that Kim Kardashian’s decor is a bit too cold or sterile for an environment for children. However, she has show before that in her house her children have a play room that is stocked with toys, a stage, and more. However for the most part the walls are still neutral and lacking of color.
Quite the opposite goes on in North West’s room however. She seems to go for the same monochrome style her mother enjoys but goes for an approach I just adore. The 9 year olds room is completely pink! Even the ceilings are completely the same shade of pink, her sheets, and her butterfly head board. Kim Kardashian claims that all of her children are allowed to decorate how they feel and choose, and it seems like North has taken full advantage. Making her room the brightest of which we have seen.
The rundown
Yes, this house is very very minimal. But this house is one of the most calming spaces I have ever seen, this is the minimalist aesthetic in the maximum form.
