Finally a wonderous Met Gala
Every since the heavenly bodies theme years ago, people have been yearning for something with that similar ethereal wonder. I believe that the themes of this year, “sleeping beauties”, and “the garden of time” was a celebration of all things fashion, and the reawakening.
It looks so magical, like the look worn by Lana Del Rey. She led the Garden of Time theme with this custom Alexander McQueen by designer Sean McGirr. This look, according to breaking news, “Is based on the original late Lee McQueen from his fall 2006 collection titled ‘The Windows of Culloden’”. The netting and vailing are true to her aesthetic, and the architecture of the dress is deeply soothing to the eye.
Sometimes, criticism can be harsh, which is why I hate speaking negatively on my site and social media. Most things I say are jokes to spark a conversation and share a laugh, so I can only say a few things about this look Kim Kardashian wore.
“What up with the cardigan?” and “Where did your waist go?”
Most men tend to wear a black suit, and maybe if they feel extra, they add embroidery or something boring. Bad Bunny is one of those few men who, at every Met Gala, make sure they are the most well-dressed. Everything was forward, from the hair to the accessories and the skillfully tailored suit; the white stitching to build contrast was a great touch to make this a more interesting piece, but my favorite thing would be the headpiece as it ties in the theme and brings the outfit up.
The dates about influencers coming to events such as the Met Gala has gone ongoing. However, since we are on the topic, I wanted to show a male influencer who deserves the Met Gala invite, Wisdom Kaye. He has been serving on TikTok for years and has shown the world a new layer of fashion on the internet, which is why I and many other fans were incredibly excited for this appearance. Wisdom’s long red outfit showed burns on the cape and hat, giving it a grunge look and building mystery to the meaning of the outfit. Even the shade of red is eye-catching and exceptionally well done.
I love Zendaya; she is an icon in more ways than one. So, while I understood the vision of her first look, if I am honest, I didn’t like it as much as the second. The first one felt sinister, sensual, and dark. I don’t see her with a dark or Dra makeup look like that, and while I didn’t like it, I will say it was on theme and well done. Her second look was brighter, and she played on the garden theme with the vibrant headpiece worn.
Because this is a personal blog, I will e updating the site through out the day with new insights, comments, and considersations, so make sure you are following the social medias @Khaurafab so you know when I am posting next.
